School Pictures

I've been very lucky with school pictures so far. I don't want to jinx myself but so far every year the boys have been very photogenic. Ryan's picture I actually had taken at Walmart. He had pictures taken at preschool, but when I went to pick them up, they said they wanted $30 for 3 sheets, and that didn't include an 8x10 that I needed for my wall. I went to Walmart, which I've done since they were infants, and got an entire package for $4.88! I think the picture came out beautiful! Ryan, on the other hand, every time he looks at it, he says yuck. I asked him if it is because he is looking over his shoulder and he said yes. For the record, he doesn't like his Harry Potter picture either because of the glasses. Go figure! Every year, I put the 8x10 in the frame and I line up all the pictures on the couch from when they were about 3-6 months old until now! It is amazing! They grow so fast! Jacob has really lost a lot of his baby face and looks so much more mature. I can't believe he is in 2nd grade already! Where does the time go? Next year Ryan will be in all day Kindergarten and riding a school bus!! AHHHHH!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

As we do every year, we went to see Santa Claus on Black Friday. Jacob brought his list, which was 2 1/2 pages long. Ryan, on the other hand, said there was only two things he wanted. Santa took a quick look at Jacob's list and then I told him we could mail him the list. Santa then said we could do one of three things: Bring the list back to the mall, which is great because I get to see you again, or send it in the mail to Santa Claus North Pole, which will take about 6-7 days to get to him, or go on santaland.org and send him an email. So the next day, Jacob sent him an email. It is a cute site if you want to take a look at it. It has his picture on it and everything. So I've attached the picture of them visiting with santa. Those of you who get Christmas cards from us, you are getting a sneak peek of the picture we are putting on the card.

Merry Christmas!
